The QS World University Rankings: Arab Region 2021 have been released. Read on to discover the frontrunners.
King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia has retained the top position in the QS World University Rankings: Arab Region 2021.
The university’s research performance helped it to retain this ranking with the university receiving perfect scores in the categories of international research network and citations per paper.
The American University of Beirut also retained its position from the previous year, receiving a score of 100 for employee reputation.
Qatar University and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) swapped positions from the previous year, with Qatar University ascending from fourth to third place and KFUPM descending from third to fourth.
There was no movement from the previous year for the next four universities ranked as part of the QS World University Rankings: Arab Region 2021.
United Arab Emirates University retained fifth position and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia retained sixth position, both institutions receiving perfect scores in the staff with PhD category.
In seventh and eighth position are the American University of Sharjah and Sultan Qaboos University respectively, with the American University of Sharjah attaining a score of 100 for international faculty, notably high compared with other top ten universities in this ranking.
Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi improved their ranking from the previous year, shifting up from twelfth position to ninth.
The University of Jordan kept a strong hold over tenth position, joining the ranks of universities receiving a perfect score for the staff with PhD category.
