The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) retained its top spot in the QS India Rankings 2020, coming first in both academic reputation and employer reputation.
Second place was also unchanged with the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore retaining its second position in the rankings.
In third and fourth place, we saw a switch in institutions with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) rising from fourth place last year to third in 2020, moving the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) from third to fourth.
In fifth, the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IITKGP) retained its spot, as did the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) in sixth place.
The University of Delhi saw some upward movement in the rankings with the institution rising from its eighth spot last year to seventh this year.
Unfortunately, the University of Hyderabad fell from seventh to eighth spot in this year’s rankings.
Finally, the ninth and tenth spots saw no change, with the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) and the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) retaining their ninth and tenth spots respectively.
