This year’s QS Business Masters and Global MBA Rankings are now live! Read on to find out which institutions came out on top.
The QS Global MBA Rankings 2022 have been released, with Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA, retaining their top spot from the previous year and receiving an almost perfect score of 99.9 for Alumni Outcomes.
Harvard Business School, USA, has improved its position from fourth in 2021 to second in this year’s rankings; a position it shares with Penn (Wharton), USA.
Next up, ranking fourth this year, is HEC Paris, France, an improvement from fifth in 2021 plus an impressive perfect score for Return on Investment.
MIT (Sloan), USA, dropped two positions this year, now standing in fifth place with a score of 99.9 in Thought Leadership, followed by London Business School, UK, in sixth place.
Sharing seventh position is INSEAD, France and Singapore, and IE Business School, Spain; a drop in the rankings by one position for INSEAD from the previous year and improvement for IE Business School by two positions from ninth in 2021.
In ninth and tenth position are Columbia Business School, USA, and IESE Business School, Spain, respectively, with IESE Business School receiving a perfect score for Return on Investment.

The QS Business Masters Rankings 2022 includes separate rankings for five specialised masters: Masters in Business Analytics, Masters in Finance, Masters in Management, Masters in Marketing and Masters in Supply Chain Management.
Master of Business Analytics
There has been no change in first and second positions for this year’s Master of Business Analytics ranking. The Masters in Business Analytics course at MIT (Sloan) retained its top spot while the Master of Science in Business Analytics at UCLA (Anderson), USA, followed close by in second.
Third position in this year’s rankings has been awarded to the Master of Science and Technology in Data Science for Business programme at Ecole Polytechnique/HEC Paris, which also achieved a perfect score for Employability.
Ranking fourth and fifth position this year is the Master in Data Sciences & Business Analytics at ESSEC/CentraleSupélec and the MSc Business Analytics at Imperial College Business School respectively.
Masters in Finance
The MSc Financial Economics course at Oxford (Saïd) has been awarded first place in this year’s Masters in Finance ranking; retaining the top spot for the second year in a row.
This is followed by HEC Paris ‘s Master in International Finance in second position; an improvement by two positions from 2021. This programme achieved perfect scores in both Alumni Outcomes and Value for Money.
The final three spots in the 2022 Masters in Finance ranking have been taken by London Business School, MIT (Sloan) and Cambridge (Judge) who were awarded third, fourth and fifth positions respectively for their programmes.
Masters in Management
There is no change from the previous year for the top three institutions in this year’s Masters in Management ranking, with HEC Paris’s Master in Strategic Management, London Business School’s Masters in Management and ESSEC Business School’s Advanced Master Strategy & Management of International Business, taking first, second and third position respectively.
They were followed by the Master in Management programmes at INSEAD in fourth position, achieving a high score of 98.1 for Thought Leadership, and IE Business School, which received a high score of 99.8 for Value for Money.
Masters in Marketing
This year’s Masters in Marketing ranking saw HEC Paris, Columbia University and Imperial College Business School hold onto their respective first, second and third positions.
Both the Master in Marketing programme at HEC Paris and the MS in Marketing Science course at Columbia University received perfect scores for Alumni Outcomes.
In fourth position is the MSc in Marketing Management and Digital course at ESSEC Business School and fifth is MSc in Marketing & Creativity at ESCP Business School.
Masters in Supply Chain Management
In both the 2021 and 2022 Masters in Supply Chain Management ranking, the Master in Global Supply Chain Management programme at MIT’s Center for Transportation & Logistics took first position, this year achieving a perfect score in Alumni Outcomes.
Second and third position this year have been awarded to the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management programme at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business and the Master of Supply Chain Management course at Michigan (Ross).
In fourth position, maintaining their position from the previous year, is the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management course at Erasmus (RSM), Netherlands, which received a high score of 94.6 in Thought Leadership.
Fifth position has been awarded to the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management course at USC (Marshall).
